Students Visit the State Capitol

On May 15, students from Pontiac and Waterford visited the capitol to advocate on behalf of school-based health centers. The School-Community Health Alliance of Michigan hosts students every year as part of it’s annual Youth Advocacy Day.

Students not only learn about how legislation and government works in Lansing, but also come get to meet their state elected officials, include state reps, state senators and even the lieutenant governor.
