Honor Community Health is known extensively for its partnerships in the community, particularly through its comprehensive co-location strategy throughout its locations. Honor Community Health’s extensive group of community partners includes CNS Healthcare at our Summit Center, Easterseals/MORC at our Plum Hollow Center, Oakland Family Services at our Orchard Lake Center, and Oakland County Health Division at our North Oakland Health Center and South Oakland Health Center locations.

  • The selection of high-quality residents for the Honor Community Health Family Medicine Residency Program is key to our goal of creating the best quality and most effective learning experiences. In compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) institutional requirements, applicants must meet one of the following qualifications to be considered eligible for matriculation into our residency program:
  • Graduate of a Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) or Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) accredited medical school
  • Graduate of an osteopathic school accredited by the AOA

Applicants for the Honor Community Health Family Medicine Residency Program must follow these application requirements:

  • All applicants to our program must be registered with the Match.
  • Applications must be submitted through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application System)
  • Application deadline: December 31st
  • Applicants to the program must be either a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or be eligible for a J-1 visa. Only J-1 visas are accepted as part of the program.

ERAS applications must include all supporting credentials, including:

ECFMG status report (if applicable)

Application form

Letters of recommendation from physicians

Medical school performance evaluation / Dean’s letter

Transcripts from all medical schools attended

Personal statement

USMLE transcript with results of Step 1 and Step 2 or COMLEX Level 1 and 2.

Oakland Integrated Healthcare Network (dba Honor Community Health) participates in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) to select candidates Family Medicine Residency Programs. NRMP number is forthcoming. We have six first-year positions per year. Our ACGME program ID# is 1202500003.
